 Elon Musk the 11th of April 2023 twitter through its CEO Elon Musk announced the final date for the $8/month and $84/year policy for a blue twitter verification badge on the app .The micro-blogging platform had scheduled the deadline for 20th April 2023 this actions many top influential celebrities have lost theirs official badges on the app, only a few still retained their badges .

Before earlier dates set for the blue ticks removal, which passed without any noticeable action, Thursday saw accounts of high-profile users, including world leaders, politicians, celebrities, and journalists, being stripped of special recognition.

, Wizkid, Burnaboy, and Tiwa Savage, amongst others, confirm the removal of their blue tick badges.

Also, the app reforms affected most Nollywood stars, including Kate Henshaw, Toni Tones, Peter Okoye, Tobi Bakare, and others.

The removal of Twitter Verification Badges continues to provoke mixed reactions among affected users. While some are indifferent or mute about it, others lament to earn it.

Nigerian chef Hilda Baci breaks Guinness World Record for longest cooking time, cooks 88 hours & still cooking .

 Congratulations have poured in for Nigeria’s chef, Hilda Baci, as she finally breaks record of existing Guinness World Records holder, Lata Tondon. The current holder of the is an Indian chef Lata Tandon, who set a Guinness World Record for cooking for 87 hours and 45 minutes non-stop in 2019 . The 27-year-old has been cooking nonstop since 4 pm on Thursday, May 11, and plans to keep cooking till 4 pm today to reach her record goal of 96 hours.
