Nigerian chef Hilda Baci breaks Guinness World Record for longest cooking time, cooks 88 hours & still cooking .

 Congratulations have poured in for Nigeria’s chef, Hilda Baci, as she finally breaks record of existing Guinness World Records holder, Lata Tondon.

The current holder of the is an Indian chef Lata Tandon, who set a Guinness World Record for cooking for 87 hours and 45 minutes non-stop in 2019 .


The 27-year-old has been cooking nonstop since 4 pm on Thursday, May 11, and plans to keep cooking till 4 pm today to reach her record goal of 96 hours.

Hilda has presently cooked for 88 hours with just 6 hours of rest time and has less than 7 hours left to set her own record. 


Many Nigerians have been showing support for the chef including celebrities like actress Iyabo Ojo, Tonto Dikeh, Comedian Macaroni, actor Ike Ogbonna, Tiwa Savage and Tobi Bakre amongst others.

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, president-elect, Bola Ahamed Tinubu, vice-president, Osinbajo, and others show support to Hilda Bucci in her quest to break Guinness World records. 


Hilda continues until she hit 96 hours.

At its joint emergency meeting of today, Wednesday 17th May, 2023, the leaderships of the Plateau State Youth Council, Coalition of Plateau State indigenous Youths and YOWICAN observed with dismay, the ongoing arrangements by the management of the Jos Museum to commemorate the “International Museum Day” to hold tomorrow, Thursday 18th May, 2023 despite the mourning that Plateau State has been thrown into following the continuous and unabated attacks and killings of innocent lives in the state, particularly the ongoing one in  Mangu by Fulani Marauders in Mangu.
